MEDIA ADVISORY: Tugboat Urger Marks 110th Anniversary

WHAT: Albany Mayor Jerry Jennings joins other officials in welcoming the 110-year-old tugboat Urger, the flagship of the New York State Canal Corporation fleet, for a commemoration of the 110th anniversary of her launching. After a brief program, the Urger will steam toward Troy. A second vessel will be available to transport members of the media out onto the river for footage of the Urger underway.

If traveling SOUTH, take I-787 to the Madison Avenue Exit. At the light, turn left and follow the signs toward I-787 North. Stay in the right lane. Corning Preserve is on the right side.
