"Life and Debt" (2001), a documentary by Stephanie Black, weaves together the stories of individual Jamaicans whose lives are largely affected by foreign economic agendas. Segments explore the plight of workers in garment factories, the effect of import and export restrictions on the domestic Jamaican food market, and how liberalization policies contributed to the decline of Jamaica's dairy industry. Overall, "Life and Debt" aims to clarify the impact of globalization on agriculture and industry in Jamaica.
