MSSNY APPOINTS PHILIP SCHUH, CPA AS INTERIM EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
Westbury, NY 03/20/2012...The Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY) has appointed Philip A. Schuh as Interim Executive Vice President. Mr. Schuh has been serving as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of the Society which represents physicians throughout New York State. He replaces Mr. Rick Abrams, who has taken a position as Executive Vice President of the Wisconsin Medical Society.
A CPA who has been involved with MSSNY since 1988, Mr. Schuh has been directly involved in overseeing the administrative and financial working of MSSNY and reports directly to the MSSNY Board of Trustees. He works directly with the county medical societies in New York and a variety of MSSNY committees. MSSNY maintains offices in Westbury and Albany, NY.
In addition, Mr. Schuh serves as Executive Vice President of the Empire State Medical, Scientific & Educational Foundation, Inc, a subsidiary of MSSNY which operates a statewide health contracting review organization.
In announcing the appointment, MSSNY President Paul A. Hamlin MD praised Mr. Schuh's depth of knowledge of MSSNY and his sound business practices.
