Madeline Reitz of Birdsboro, Pa., was on Millersville University Homecoming Court

MILLERSVILLE, PA (11/04/2011)(readMedia)-- Madeline Reitz of Birdsboro, Pa., was on the Charity King and Queen Homecoming Court at Millersville University. The court was announced on Saturday, October 29 as part of the University's homecoming festivities.

Candidates for charity king and queen are student representatives nominated by their University organization to raise funds for a charity organization. During the months leading to homecoming, students, faculty and staff donate time and money for the various charities. The male and female nominees who raise the most funds are rightfully named king and queen. This year, the six candidates for Charity King and Queen raised a total of $15,323.90 for their respective charities.

Reitz, a member of Millersville's University Activities Board raised $2,803.63 for her charity, Love 146. Reitz is a senior at Millersville majoring in nuclear medicine technology.
