Magical Musicians Win State Fair Accordion Crown

DES MOINES, IA (08/13/2024) (readMedia)-- The fast fingers of accordion virtuosos were on display in the Accordion contest judged Monday, August 12, the 2024 Iowa State Fair.

Brett Feuring of Carson won first place in the Keyboard division of competition. Patrick McFall of Papillion, NE, earned second place and Trudy Scott of Cedar Rapids claimed third place.

In the Button division, Patrick McFall of Papillion, NE, won first place.

The contest was part of "Rural Americana Olde Tyme Competitions" in Farm Bureau Pioneer Hall. A first prize of $5 and ribbons were awarded to each class.
