Maine Army National Guard to Deploy Troops and Equipment to Massachusetts Friday UPDATE

AUGUSTA, ME (02/13/2015)(readMedia)-- The Maine Army National Guard is sending nearly 50 troops along with heavy equipment on Friday to assist Massachusetts in their snow removal for an official Snow Disaster declaration.

WHAT: | Soldiers and equipment from the 185th Engineer Support Company, the 262nd Engineer Company (Horizontal) and the 136th Engineer Company (Vertical) will move south with dump trucks and loaders to assist in snow removal. They convoy is scheduled to depart at 12:00 noon. |

NOTES: | Please note the later departure time of 12:00 pm. Please stage at the Ball Park located on Stevens Mill Road. Soldiers will be on hand to assist you. Due to safety reasons we ask that you not wander around the convoy, there will be Soldiers moving and loading large pieces of equipment. Representatives will be made available to interview. |
