Mallory Martin of Thousand Oaks Participates in National Journalism Conference

WALLA WALLA, WA (11/30/2011)(readMedia)-- Mallory Martin of Thousand Oaks, Calif. was one of eight Whitman College students who participated in the 90th Annual Associated Collegiate Press National College Media Convention in Orlando, Fla.

The conference had over 2300 attendees from colleges and universities across the country. Conference-goers take part in workshops on print journalism, web journalism, publishing magazines and radio broadcasting. Participants also receive feedback and awards for their school publications.

Martin, the daughter of Jennifer and Daniel Martin of Thousand Oaks, is a first-year at Whitman. She is an arts and entertainment writer for The Pioneer, Whitman's student newspaper.
