CANTON , OH (11/07/2011)(readMedia)-- The Malone University College of Theology, Arts, and Sciences – Department of Visual Art will present senior portfolios throughout the remainder of the fall semester. The projects represent the culmination of the students' endeavors in the art department at Malone University, and will be exhibited in the McFadden Gallery located within the Johnson Center for Worship and the Fine Arts at 2600 Cleveland Avenue N.W. in Canton. All art galleries at Malone University are free and open to the public.
Dec. 10-15 Alysha Merlino, an art major from North Bloomfield, will display her paintings and photographs. Alysha starts with a photograph that captures a moment in time and then uses these as the basis for her paintings of the same imagery. She is looking to see how each media expresses the emotion of the scene and impacts the viewer's experience. A reception is planned for Dec. 10 from 4-7 and is free and open to all.
