CANTON , OH (10/28/2011)(readMedia)-- The Malone University College of Theology, Arts, and Sciences – Department of Music will present a senior recital Monday, November 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Stewart Room of the Randall Campus Center, located on the campus at 2600 Cleveland Avenue N.W. in Canton. The program – featuring Logan Gonot, trumpet – is free and open to the public. A program follows.
Logan Gonot is a senior music education major from Uncasville, CT. His primary instrument is trumpet, which he has studied with Chris Hall and Michael Willard. He will be student teaching in the spring at Hoover High School in North Canton, Ohio. Logan has been a member of the Marching Band, Symphonic Band, University Chorale, and Jazz Band since spring of 2009 and has served on the leadership team this past year for the Marching Band. He received an award for Most Improved Bandsman in the spring of 2011. After graduation, Logan plans to pursue a job in the music education field as a high school band director and continue to compose and arrange on the side.
