SAINT PAUL, MN (06/12/2012)(readMedia)-- Bethel University senior Toby Robinson from Mankato, Minn., was announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) as a Division III Ping All-Region honoree. Robinson was one of several players across six regions who earned all-region honors for 2012.
Robinson finished his senior campaign with a 74.82 (+3) average, which was capped off by his best back-to-back rounds of the season in the last meet at the Saint John's Spring Invitational. Robinson composed a 141 (71-70) throughout the two rounds of competition at the Monticello Country Club in Monticello, Minn.
In addition to the Division III Ping All-Region award, Robinson was also selected to the 2012 All-MIAC (Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) All Sportsmanship Team. As part of a conference-wide sportsmanship initiative, the MIAC announced the sixth annual All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team for men's golf. Members of the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team are selected by their coaches and teammates as individuals who demonstrate ideals of positive sportsmanship both on and off the field of competition.
