LA MIRADA, CA (04/30/2014)(readMedia)-- With 50 three-point shots made in 27 games, a scoring average of 13.5 points per game and the 2014 Scholar Athlete and Character Award from the Orange County Athletic Directors' Association, Biola's new commitment, Danielle Kennedy, looks to add quality of athleticism and character to Biola's team.
"Danielle is a high caliber student-athlete," said Head Coach Bethany Miller. "She is a strong scorer and defender, and works hard both on the court and in the classroom."
The All-Sunset League first team selection enters Biola in the fall. She played point guard for Marina High School and projects as an impact scoring guard for the Eagles in her first year. She holds the Marina High School record for most three-point shots made in a single season, and she was named the school's offensive player of the year last season.
"She loves the game of basketball and demonstrates strong character on and off the court," said Miller. "She is a great addition to our Biola women's basketball program!"
