SCRANTON, PA (06/21/2010)(readMedia)-- Marissa Licata, Suffern, N.Y., was one of the 57 students who received awards from The University of Scranton during its undergraduate Class Night ceremony. The Jesuit university recognized exceptional students from the Class of 2010 with awards for academic achievement and service.
Marissa Licata was the recipient of the Lawrence Lennon Award for Outstanding Service & Achievement in Psychology. She received a bachelor of science, magna cum laude, in psychology with minors in philosophy, sociology and art history.
Licata was a member of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, and Psi Chi and Nu Rho Psi honor societies. She participated in the Association for Psychological Science Student Caucus (APSSC), was the co-chairperson of Kid's Judge and Psychology Conference. She was a tutor, teaching assistant and a research assistant.
Licata plans to attend The University of Toledo, College of Law.
She graduated from Suffern High School, Suffern, N.Y.
