PHILADELPHIA, PA (02/06/2012)(readMedia)-- Each year the American Journal of Nursing (AJN) recognizes books by nurses and other authors for excellence in book publishing for and about nurses and deems them the most valuable texts of 2011. There are 17 categories ranging from clinical nursing to professional development and policy to informatics.
The Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions community congratulates Dr. Mary Ellen Glasgow, Professor and Associate Dean for Nursing, Undergraduate Health Professions, and Dr. H. Michael Dreher, Associate Professor of Nursing for winning an American Journal of Nursing (AJN) Book of the Year Award 2011 in the Advanced Practice Nursing category for their book, Role Development for Doctoral Advanced Nursing Practice published in December 2010 (Springer). Many national and international scholars contributed to this text.
Dr. Glasgow is a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Executive Nurse Fellow (2009-2012). She has published over 50 articles and has delivered over 100 national and international presentations and is currently the Associate Editor for Oncology Nursing Forum, Leadership and Professional Development Feature.
