Matthew Johnson of Poughkeepsie receives degree from American International College

SPRINGFIELD, MA (06/16/2010)(readMedia)-- Matthew Johnson of Poughkeepsie was among more than 1,000 students who received degrees from American International College in Springfield, Mass. The commencement ceremony was held May 23 at the MassMutual Center in Springfield.

Johnson, a Communications major, received a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Dr. Harold Robles, co-founder of the Medical Knowledge Institute, delivered the keynote address. The Medical Knowledge Institute (MKI) is an international non-profit organization based in the Netherlands that focuses on education and provides information from the conviction and healthcare is a human right.

Robles was also instrumental in establishing the Desmond Tutu Public Health Lecture Series at American International College.

American International College in Springfield, Mass., is a four-year, private, coeducational institution founded in 1885. AIC offers undergraduate and graduate programs in its schools of Business Administration, Arts, Education and Sciences, Health Sciences, and Continuing and Extended Studies.
