Matthew Madsen Receives Two Ripon College Awards

RIPON, WI (05/04/2010)(readMedia)--  Matthew Madsen, a junior majoring in mathematics and physics from Wisconsin Dells, Wis., was named the recipient of the 2010 Ripon College Mathematics and Computer Science Award and the 2010 William Harley Barber Award during a ceremony held April 21, 2010 at Ripon College.

 The Mathematics and Computer Science Award recognizes a student majoring in mathematics or computer science with at least a 3.0 grade average.

 The William Harley Barber Award recognizes an outstanding student in the physics department. The recipient receives a cash award.

 Madsen is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Madsen of Wisconsin Dells, Wis.
