Josephine M. Otremba of Bel Air, Maryland, who graduated Magna Cum Laude with departmental honors in History, was the recipient of The Edith Farr Ridington Writing Award. Otremba won the top writing award for the research paper titled "Christian Violence in Europe During the Black Death: A Product of Religious Tension and Economic Opportunism."
