McDaniel College String Ensemble Performs Friday, November 9, and Student Jazz Guitar Ensemble Performs Monday, November 12

WESTMINSTER, MD (11/05/2012)(readMedia)-- McDaniel College senior Charles Eron of Hanover, Pa., performs in the college's String Ensemble on Friday, November 9, and Student Jazz Guitar Ensemble on Monday, November 12. Both performances take place at 7 p.m. in Baker Chapel at McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster, Md., and are free and open to the public.

Under the direction of adjunct music lecturer Nicholas Currie, students in McDaniel's string ensemble perform musical selections, including Handel, Bach, Mozart, Telemann, Bréval, Corelli and others, on Friday, November 9.

On Monday, November 12, students in McDaniel's jazz guitar ensemble, under the direction of adjunct music lecturer Timothy Jenkins, perform an array of musical selections, including "Milestones" by Miles Davis, "I Only Have Eyes for You" by Harry Warren and Al Dubin, and an original piece by a member of the ensemble. In addition to the ensemble performances, the evening also features guitar solos and duets.
