STORM LAKE, IA (03/29/2019) (readMedia)-- Buena Vista University (BVU) has appointed Kevin McIntyre as vice president of enrollment management, effective immediately. He has been serving in the role as BVU's interim vice president of enrollment management since September 2018.

McIntyre is a skilled leader in higher education with more than 30 years of experience in enrollment management. Prior to his interim role at BVU, McIntyre served as the dean of admission at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois, where he celebrated record freshman enrollment (17 percent growth) for three consecutive years and also significantly increased graduate enrollment.

McIntyre also served as the vice president of enrollment at Rosemont College; dean of enrollment management at Immaculata University; dean of admissions at Goldey-Beacom College; director of admission and financial aid at Keystone Junior College; and assistant dean of admissions at King's College.

"Kevin has done a remarkable job in moving our enrollment management team forward since he arrived in Storm Lake last September, and I'm very pleased to have him join us on a permanent basis," says Joshua D. Merchant, BVU President. "He brings great vision and strategic experience to this role, which has us on track toward meeting many goals."

During his tenure as BVU's interim vice president of enrollment management, McIntyre has led development of a new exploratory program, enhanced the recruiting for the BVU Honor's Program, created a new legacy scholarship program, and integrated the University's approach to admissions events. As BVU's vice president of enrollment management, McIntyre will lead the undergraduate admissions team for the Storm Lake campus and online/site programs, in addition to the Office of Financial Aid.

McIntyre earned a bachelor's degree in English from King's College and a master's degree in business administration from Goldey-Beacom College. He is actively involved in several organizations, including the National Association for College Admission Counseling.
