McMurry War Hawks' Lowrance Earns ASC Golfer of the Week

McMurry University sophomore men's golfer Brendon Lowrance (Mansfield, Texas/Lake Ridge H.S.) has been named as the American Southwest Conference "Golfer of the Week," it was been announced by the league office. Lowrance is coming off a fifth place finish at the Dallas Baptist University Patriot Classic on April 2-3, versus a field of 12 NCAA Division II and one NAIA school.

Lowrance shot rounds of 74-75-72 for the 54-hole event, finishing at 5-over par. In Tuesday's final round, only two other players in the field bettered Lowrance's even-par round of 72.

Lowrance recorded the fifth-best season scoring average in McM men's golf history this year. For his 12 rounds played in 2017-18, Lowrance averaged 74.17 strokes. He had a low round of 68 at the Omega Oil Invitational on March 13.
