Media Advisory for 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 16

The New York State Canal Corporation will unveil a new sign kiosk at Lock 32 in Pittsford at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2010. In addition to the Lock 32 sign kiosk, four additional signs were recently installed at Lock 32, Perinton Park, Middleport and Lock 34/35 in Lockport. (See directions below.)

Attending the opening will be the Canal Corporation Director Carmella R. Mantello as well as state and local representatives.

Members of the media, including photographers, are invited to attend.

DIRECTIONS FROM THE VILLAGE OF PITTSFORD: From the intersection of Routes 31 & 96, go south on Route 96 for approximately 1/4 mile. Turn right onto Jefferson Road (Route 262) and go west approximately 1/4 mile. Turn right on Clover Street (Route 65). Erie Canal Lock 32 is 1/4 mile on the left. Event parking is permissible at the Lock.
