WHAT: The New York State Broadcasters Association, Inc.'s (NYSBA) 46th Annual Executive Conference, a two-day gathering drawing 400 representatives from New York's media, advertising and broadcasting industries.

Monday, June 26

6:30 p.m. — Welcoming reception

8 p.m. — 2007 Awards for Excellence In Broadcasting. In addition to recognizing outstanding achievement among New York's 600 radio and television stations, the awards banquet includes the induction of six statewide nominees into NYSBA's Hall of Fame. They include respected Albany broadcaster Ed Dague, iconic ABC correspondent and host Barbara Walters, veteran FOX 5 News television news anchor Ernie Anastos, Long Island broadcasting entrepreneur Paul Sidney, Buffalo radio legend Dan Neaverth, and much admired Syracuse radio owner Albert "Bud" Wertheimer.

The formal dinner also includes a presentation of the 2007 Broadcaster of the Year Award to legendary TV journalist, reporter and interviewer Barbara Walters, who was recently honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In addition, FCC Commissioner Deborah Taylor Tate will be awarded the seventh annual Carol M. Reilly Award, which honors the memory of the late wife of NYSBA President Joseph A. Reilly, who died of cancer in 2000, and is presented to a woman who encompasses general excellence, leadership and professionalism.

9 a.m. — Presentations: Chris Rohrs, president & CEO of the Television Advertising Bureau and Jeff Haley, the newly appointed president & CEO of the Radio Advertising Bureau

10:30 a.m. — Presentation: David Rehr, president & CEO of the National Association of Broadcasters

11 a.m. — Presentation: FCC Commissioner Deborah Taylor Tate who, since joining the FCC in January 2006, has been active in encouraging more women and people of color to hold media ownership roles

11:30 a.m. — Presentation: New York Governor Eliot Spitzer
