LAKE PLACID, NY (09/05/2008)(readMedia)-- Sandy Treadwell, Republican, Independence and Conservative Party candidate for the 20th Congressional District, will begin a three-week tour of the 10 counties in the district, starting in Essex County on Sunday, September 7, 2008.

Treadwell will participate in the following Essex County events:

Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, 4 p.m.- 7 p.m.: A Picnic BBQ/low-cost fundraiser at the Olympic Ski Jump Complex, 52 Ski Jump Lane, Lake Placid. Senator Betty Little and Assemblywoman Teresa Sayward are co-hosts of the event, along with special guest former Gov. George Pataki.

Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, 5:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.: Treadwell will be joined by state and local officials for the grand opening of his Essex County Volunteer Headquarters, located at 2520 Main Street in Lake Placid (a street level, storefront office in the Northwoods Inn Complex). A ribbon cutting will take place at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Tuesday, Sept 9, 2008, 6:30 pm. - 8 p.m.: A "Meet the Candidate" Night with Sandy Treadwell at the Keene Valley Fire Department, 15 Market Street in Keene Valley. The event will feature a Question and Answer session to give residents an opportunity to discuss issues and concerns with Sandy.
