Melinda Hadley, a Recent Mesalands Graduate Secures Wind Energy Job
TUCUMCARI, NM (08/04/2011)(readMedia)-- Melinda Hadley of Lowell, MI, has joined Granite Services International Inc. as a full time technician. Hadley recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Mesalands Community College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Wind Energy Technology. Hadley has completed her 1.5 Operations and Maintenance Training at Granite Services, and is currently located at the Crow Lake Wind Farm in South Dakota. Hadley was an intern for Granite last December and during the summer of 2010. Granite is a global provider of outsourcing solutions for all customers in a variety of industry sectors including, wind turbine services, equipment, project management, installation, and operations and maintenance.
Hadley received her associate degree training at the new North American Wind Research and Training Center at Mesalands Community College. The Wind Center provides state-of-the-art facilities including a 1.5 megawatt wind turbine for hands-on training, and for applied research, in commercial wind energy technology. The new Wind Center has been internationally recognized and attracts students from across the United States, and some foreign countries.
