DELMAR, NY (08/19/2008)(readMedia)-- The Mendelssohn Club of Albany invites interested tenors and basses to audition for membership beginning on Wednesday, September 3 at 7:15 p.m. at the New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 916 Western Avenue, Albany, NY.
Prospective new members are invited to rehearse and sing with the club during the first few weeks of the 2008-2009 season. Rehearsals are held at 7:15 p.m. every Wednesday at The New Covenant Presbyterian Church. Final auditions will take place near the end of September.

About The Mendelssohn Club: A Capital Region tradition since 1909, the 75-voice male chorus is the area's longest continuously performing arts group. The club includes men from the Capital District, Hudson Valley and Berkshire regions, and it performs a full range of male choral selections from around the world. The Mendelssohn Club is conducted by Dr. Victor Klimash, a faculty member at Union College.
