Mendelssohn Club to Perform 99th Annual Holiday Concert

A Grand Capital Region Tradition

DELMAR, NY (12/07/2007)(readMedia)-- The Mendelssohn Club of Albany will perform its traditional holiday concert at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 14th at The Egg in Albany, NY. An evening of classical and popular holiday music is the perfect way to welcome the holiday season.

A Capital Region tradition since 1909, the 75-voice male chorus is the area’s longest continuously performing arts group. The club’s special guest for the evening will be mezzo-soprano Heidi Skok.

The Mendelssohn Club is conducted by Dr. Victor Klimash. Dr. Klimash is a faculty member at Union College and holds a Doctor of Music in Voice from Florida State University, and a Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Voice from The Eastman School of Music. Pianist Michael Clement serves as the Club's accompanist. Mr. Clement was trained at the Eastman School of Music, the University of Arizona, and the University of Southern California.
