POTSDAM, NY (06/22/2012)(readMedia)-- The Metropolitan Opera's award-winning series of live performance transmission to movie theaters continues to captivate audiences around the world. Now you can enjoy past favorites with the Met Live Summer Encores.

The fourth summer season of The Met: Live in HD will feature six of the Met's most popular operas in startling high definition.

Through "Mondays at the Met," North Country audiences can enjoy encore screenings at Potsdam's Roxy Theatre in July and August. All broadcasts are offered on Mondays at 6:30 p.m.

The 2012 Summer Encores schedule is:

  • Gaetano Donizetti's "Anna Bolena": July 2 (3 hours, 10 minutes)
  • Gioachino Rossini's "Le Comte Ory": July 9 (2 hours, 25 minutes
  • Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Don Giovanni": July 16 (4 hours)
  • Jacques Offenbach's "Les Contes d'Hoffman": July 23 (3 hours)
  • Gaetano Donizetti's "Lucia di Lammermoor": July 30 (2 hours, 25 minutes)
  • Richard Strauss's "Der Rosenkavalier": Aug. 6 (3 hours, 20 minutes)
