Micah Hollenbeck designed the front and back covers of of the book “Essentials of Mathematical Statistics.”

SEWARD, NE (04/26/2013)(readMedia)-- Concordia University, Nebraska senior art major Micah Hollenbeck of Wheat Ridge, Colo., recently designed the cover of a new statistics textbook written by a Concordia University, Nebraska professor.

Hollenbeck, who is pursuing a bachelor of art degree in graphic design and illustration, spent two weeks designing the front and back covers of the book "Essentials of Mathematical Statistics." The textbook was written by Associate Professor of Mathematics Brian Albright. The book was published as part of the Jones and Bartlett Learning International Series in Mathematics.

After graduation this spring, Hollenbeck plans to continue work with Sandhills Publishing in Lincoln, Neb., and is also exploring graduate school options at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Ga.
