Michael Spieler Joins Curry College's New Plays Festival

MILTON , MA (02/25/2011)(readMedia)-- Curry College is pleased to announce that Winchester resident Michael Spieler, son of David and Karen Spieler, will be playing the role of Sandy "Stanford" in Mark Alexander's original drama Deathbed in Curry Theatre's Black Box production of The Fifth Annual New Plays Festival.

Michael is a 2006 graduate of Minuteman Regional High School. Currently a ¬senior majoring in

Communication, he has been seen on the Curry Theatre Stage in Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman, David Ives's English Made Simple, and Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Michael has also served on Curry Theatre's Supervisory Board as Improv Liaison, Black Box Manager and currently serves as this semester's Props Manager. .

The Fifth Annual New Plays Festival, showcasing original student 5-10 minute one act plays, will run Saturday, March 5 through Monday, March 7 at 7:30 pm in the Oscar B. and Frances A. Keith Auditorium at the Academic and Performance Center on the Milton Campus, 1071 Blue Hill Avenue, Milton, MA. Tickets are $5 and may be reserved at 617 333 2259 (Option 2).

Curry College is a 131-year old, private, four-year, liberal arts institution located on 135 acres in Milton, MA. Curry extends its educational programs to a continuing education branch campus in Plymouth. Curry offers 20 undergraduate degrees as well as graduate degrees in business, education, criminal justice and nursing, with a combined enrollment of approximately 4,150 students.
