Michael Tamburino NE-10 Pitcher of the Week

PLEASANTVILLE, NY (04/17/2012)(readMedia)-- Michael Tamburino (Baldwin, NY/Holy Trinity) was named Northeast-10 Conference Pitcher of the Week after an outstanding start last week against American International College.

Tamburino dominated in the opening game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Yellow Jackets as he tossed a complete game four-hitter and struck out 13 in a 9-1 Pace win. On the season, Tamburino improved his record to 4-2 and lowered his ERA to 2.08. He has struck out 52 batters in 56 1/3 innings pitched on the season and ranks seventh in the NE-10 in strikeouts.

The Setters return to action for their on Tuesday, April 17 when they will host Adelphi University in an NE-10 Southwest Division game at Finnerty Field at 3:30 pm.
