SPRINGFIELD, MA (06/20/2011)(readMedia)-- Michelle L. Majkut of Wilbraham received the Outstanding Graduating Senior in International Studies award during Baccalaureate ceremonies at Western New England College. Martha Garabedian, professor of Spanish, presented the award, praising Majkut as "intelligent, intellectually curious, disciplined, and highlight motivated."
Majkut graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts and is a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha honor society. While at Western New England, Majkut volunteered and studied in South Africa for six months and served as Research Intern for the Fulbright Scholars' Office at the International Institute for Education in Washington, D.C. This fall, Majkut will begin law school, pursuing her J.D./L.L.M. in International Studies and Human Rights Law.
