Mike Martin Of Enfield, Connecticut Garners NECC Rookie of the Week Honors

CHICOPEE, MA (02/01/2010)(readMedia)-- Elms College sophomore setter Mike Martin of Enfield, Connecticut garnered New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week honors in men's volleyball for the week of Jan. 25-Feb. 1 as announced by the league office on Monday.

Martin handed out a combined 46 assists during a 3-0 sweep of Regis College, and a 3-0 loss to Newbury College. Against the Pride, Martin dished out 29 assists, helping the Blazers snap a five-match losing skid. He also added seven digs, three service aces and an assisted block en route to his first conference accolades of the season.
