Mill Valley native Cory Rand selected as Coro Fellow

WALLA WALLA, WA (06/05/2013)(readMedia)-- Cory Rand of Milly Valley, Calif. was honored with a Coro Fellowship after his graduation from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash.

With this competitive fellowship, Rand will have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and to gain greater awareness within the realm of public affairs.

Rand was also selected as a recipient of the Robert Y. Fluno Award for Best Paper in Politics, an award given to one graduating senior each year.

Rand is the son of David and Sheryl Rand and a 2009 graduate of Tamalpais High School. He received a B.A. in Politics and a minor in history during the Whitman commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 19.
