Millikin's Shumaker named CCIW Men's Track & Field Athlete of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Millikin's Jake Shumaker was selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Outdoor Track & Field Student-Athlete of the Week on April 5th.

Shumaker, a sophomore from Decatur, Illinois and Mt. Zion High School, won the 800-meter run at the Big Blue's Alumni Invitational on April 2nd. His time of 1:53.88 ranks first in the CCIW and 17th on the NCAA Division III national list. Shumaker was also part of the winning 4x400-meter relay (3:31.44).
