Minnesota Soybean Growers Association Elects Officers and Asa Director

MANKATO, MN (06/30/2010)(readMedia)-- The Board of Directors of the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association (MSGA) has elected Kurt Krueger, Rothsay, Minn. as president for 2010-11. "I am honored that the directors of the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association have selected me for this leadership responsibility," said Krueger, who farms near Rothsay. "I look forward to working with our members and other agricultural organizations who represent the interests and concerns of Minnesota agriculture."

Other MSGA offices elected by the board are: Bill Gordon, Worthington, vice president; Bruce Schmoll, Claremont, treasurer, and George Goblish, Vesta, secretary. Lake Benton farmer Bob Worth was re-elected as a national director on the ASA Board of Directors.

MSGA is a non-profit, farmer-controlled membership organization established in 1962. Its goal is to assure profitable soybean farming by influencing favorable agricultural legislation, monitoring government policies and supporting research and market development activities.
