Taylor Endowed Scholarship. The scholarship benefits graduates of St. Mary's Ryken High School who have academic merit..
At St. Mary's College of Maryland, McLain is exploring a few subjects, principally political science. She is assistant editor of The Point News, the college newspaper, and is also interested in photography.
Outside of the classroom, McLain enjoys attending Voices poetry readings and lectures presented by visiting historians. "I am very interested in how events and people's decisions affect our lives today," she says. "I am pursuing my interests in various classes and focusing on political science."
St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
