Mon/Fayette Work Necessitates Night-time Detour on Route 119 in Uniontown
NEW STANTON, PA (11/06/2009)(readMedia)-- The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission alerts motorists that construction of the Mon/Fayette Expressway Uniontown to Brownsville Project will require a night-time closure with detour, on Route 119 North and South. The closure, will occur Mon Thur., 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. during the weeks of Nov. 9 through Nov. 13, and Nov. 16 through Nov. 20.
The general contractor, Walsh Construction, will close the lanes for the erection of steel girders over Route 119. This work is part of Phase 2 construction of the Mon/Fayette Expressway between Uniontown and Brownsville section 51A1.
Traffic moving southbound on Route 119 will be detoured around the construction zone via the Route 51 exit ramp and back onto the Route 119 south entry ramp from Route 51. Northbound traffic on Route 119 will follow the detour via the Route 51 exit ramp and back onto the Route 119 north entry ramp from Route 51.
