Monroe College's National Society of Leadership and Success Chapter Inducts New Members

Last month, Monroe College's National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) chapter welcomed 62 new members at an induction celebration held on the College's Bronx campus. The students' family members were on hand to applaud the new inductees.

NSLS is the nation's largest leadership honor society, with 664 chapters, and 1,031,867 members nationwide. Students are selected by their college for membership based on either academic standing or leadership potential. Through NSLS, members learn to pursue their personal and professional goals while also learning important leadership skills.

Additionally, the chapter honored three staff and faculty members for their commitment to NSLS. Dr. Donald Simon was presented with the Honorary Membership Award, Professor Bruce Wigutow was presented with the Excellence in Teaching Award, and Maria Ortiz from the Office of Continuing Student Services was presented with the Excellence in Service to Students Award.
