Monroe Native Presents at Murdock Conference

WALLA WALLA, WA (11/19/2012)(readMedia)-- Monroe native Vincent Peterson recently presented his research on designing a proteasome inhibitor that will be used to fight cancer at the annual Murdock College Science Research Conference, which took place at Whitman College this year. More than 400 students and faculty from colleges throughout the Northwest gathered for the conference, and students presented results from research they had conducted at their home institutions, summer internships or elsewhere.

Peterson is the son of Daisy and John Peterson from Monroe. He is a 2009 graduate of Monroe High School.

At Whitman, Peterson is a senior biophysics, biochemistry and molecular biology major.
