Morgan Lempke of Easton Awarded John and Andrea Wobensmith Current Scholarship

ST. MARY'S CITY, MD (12/12/2013)(readMedia)--  Morgan Lempke, an Easton, Md. native and junior at St. Mary's College of Maryland, was recently awarded the John and Andrea Wobensmith Current Scholarship. Established in 2011 by John Wobensmith '93, the scholarship benefits third-year economics majors who have academic merit and financial need.

At St. Mary's College of Maryland, Lempke is studying economics and art. She is pursuing a career in event planning or as a museum curator.

Outside of the classroom, Lempke plays varsity field hockey and club lacrosse. She is on the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) and is president of club lacrosse. Her interests include artistic exploration, community service and travel.

St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
