DES MOINES, IA (09/13/2024) (readMedia)-- Over twenty teams from around Iowa competed in the Mother-Daughter Look-A-Like contest judged Sunday, August 18, at the 2024 Iowa State Fair.
First place was awarded to mother-daughter duo Pari and Vivian Brown of Ankeny.
There was a three-way tie for second place; honors were awarded to Julie and Kaylee Sander of Ankeny, Christine and Emilia Sposito of Wantagh, N.Y., and Marketa Oliver and Jordan George of Bondurant.
The contest was part of "Rural Americana Olde Tyme Competitions" in Farm Bureau Pioneer Hall. First prize was awarded $5 and ribbons were awarded to each class.
