Mutton Bustin' Boys and Girls Compete for Blue Ribbons in Iowa State Fair Contest

DES MOINES, IA (08/24/2017) (readMedia)-- Young Iowans geared up for the Mutton Bustin' competition judged Friday August 18, at the 2017 Iowa State Fair. Five rounds of competition took place in the Pioneer Livestock Pavilion culminating in the Championship Rounds at the end of the day.

In the five and under division finals, Cooper Bakker of Dike claimed first place. Second place was awarded to Beckett McElish of Urbandale.

In the six to eight-year-old division finals, Sydney Beavers of Collins won first place and Clayton Hewitt of Delta claimed second place.
