NSF Research

Social Work student, Mary Martin, was chosen to participate in research with the National Science Foundation this summer to study mental health in Ukraine. Mary will be actively and meaningfully involved with other students in an ongoing research project exploring the mental health of Ukrainian citizens based on a comprehensive, population-based survey of nearly 5,000 Ukrainians.

As you may know, Ukraine is still undergoing bombings and is not a safe haven. This is a tremendous project given the nature of ongoing violence and trauma there. Mary was specifically selected for this project when she applied for another summer research study--she did not seek it out but they invited her to participate based on her credentials.
