Ms. Rivard has over 30 years of experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Transmission and Distribution at Southern California Edison. In that role, she is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and modernization of the grid.
"I'm very pleased to welcome Heather to the NYISO's Board of Directors. Her experience in reliable grid operations as well as her knowledge regarding gas and electric coordination will be invaluable to our Board and to the evolution of the New York grid," said Board Chairman Joseph Oates.

The selection of Ms. Rivard is the result of the NYISO's stakeholder process in which representatives from each market sector work to conduct a national search and recommend potential directors to the Board.
