NYPTA to Hold Conference and Exhibit Show in Saratoga Springs, NY
ALBANY , NY (07/14/2009)(readMedia)-- Over 500 physical therapists, assistants and students are expected to attend the statewide conference of the New York Physical Therapy Association (NYPTA) held at the Saratoga Hilton Hotel and the Saratoga Springs City Center on October 23 - 24, 2009. Physical Therapists are now required to keep their license current by obtaining continuing education units. James Dunleavy, PT, MS, President of NYPTA noted that the association is committed to providing continuing education for its members so they can keep current with the advancement of the profession.
Physical Therapy professionals will attend educational courses on treatment intervention, endurance, geriatrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, gait training, hand rehabilitation, differential/diagnosis, evidence based practice, and manual therapy. In addition to the courses offered, attendees have the opportunity to network during breaks and events planned over the weekend.
The New York Physical Therapy Association (NYPTA) is a non-profit professional organization composed of approximately 5,000 licensed physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and students. The NYPTA is dedicated to serving the public's health interests, improving the standard of health for people of all ages, and advancing the interests of physical therapists in the State of New York.
