NYSDOT To Host Public Information Meeting For NY Gateway Connections Improvement Project

ALBANY, NY (10/03/2013)(readMedia)-- The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT), in coordination with

the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), will host an October 15 public information meeting about the New York Gateway Connections Improvement Project to the U.S. Peace Bridge Plaza in the city of Buffalo. The meeting is scheduled for 4 pm. to 7 pm. at the Connecticut Street Armory, 184 Connecticut Street in Buffalo.

The proposed NY Gateway Connections Project is progressing through the federal environmental review process required by the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). NYSDOT anticipates releasing a Draft Environmental Impact Statement about the project later this year.

The latest public information meeting is being held to update area residents on the project's progress. Informational boards with updated designs will be on display and NYSDOT staff will be available to discuss the project. A Spanish-language translator and sign-language interpreter will be available at the meeting.
