Napolione of Cincinnati Honored with Clarkson University's Most Prestigious Alumni Award

POTSDAM, NY (07/25/2012)(readMedia)-- Lisa A. Napolione of Cincinnati, Ohio, director, global research & development, Procter & Gamble, Inc., has been honored with the Golden Knight Award by her alma mater, Clarkson University.

Presented each year during Reunion Weekend, Clarkson's most prestigious alumni award is given to alumni who have distinguished themselves either by service to Clarkson through Alumni Association activities or have demonstrated outstanding career achievement, bringing distinction to themselves and to Clarkson.

Napolione received her bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering with a concentration in biology from Clarkson University in 1987. While at Clarkson, she was a member of the Omega Chi Epsilon and Tau Beta Pi honor societies.

After graduation, Napolione began her career as a scientist/engineer at Procter & Gamble. She has progressed through a series of positions of increasing responsibility and currently is the research and development global general manager in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her responsibilities include 15 innovation centers and technical labs, including the start-up of the Beijing Innovation Center. She leads the total R&D program for the largest brand at P&G, Pampers/Luvs, with over $10 billion in sales, and leads fiber and particle research across all P&G business units. In addition, Napolione established and owns a new business development portfolio.

Napolione has always been interested and engaged in leadership roles that are affiliated with Clarkson. She is the P&G executive liaison to Clarkson, head of P&G's Clarkson recruiting team, a past student affairs chair and served on the engineering advisory committee. Napolione has also served two terms on Clarkson's Board of Trustees.

Napolione is a member of the Society of Women Engineers, Women in Technology Committee Sponsor, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) Student Mentoring, Master Innovators Sponsor and Trainer, and P&G executive liaison to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.

Actively involved in her community, Napolione is a team leader with United Way, committee member with Every Child Succeeds Program and YWCA Rising Star.

Napolione and her husband, David Johnson, reside in Cincinnati, Ohio, and have two children, Jacob and Sara.
