Natalia Nunez Receives Award During Honors Convocation at Wofford College

SPARTANBURG, SC (05/19/2010)(readMedia)-- Wofford College senior Natalia Nunez received The George C.S. Adams Award, the departmental award for French, during Honors Convocation on May 11.

A biology and French double major, Nunez has studied in Nantes, France, and was inducted into Pi Delta Phi, the French honors society during her junior year. Nunez plans to attend dental school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the fall of 2010. Parents: Mauricio and Martha Nunez (Columbia, S.C., 29223).

The academic major awards are made by the faculty to seniors recommended by the major departments on the basis of academic achievement, character and intellectual promise. Some of the awards are named in honor of persons who have made significant contributions to the intellectual life of the college.
