ASHLAND, OH (10/11/2012)(readMedia)-- Seven Fields resident Natalie Hritz, who is a majoring in dietetics, has fit in well with the busy student lifestyle at Ashland University.

Hritz, a junior at Ashland University in Ashland, OH, is a 2010 graduate of Seneca Valley High School. She is the daughter of Paul and Susan Hritz.

Hritz is active in many student activities on campus as well as being actively involved in band.

She is a member of marching band, concert band, Ashland University Student Dietetic Association (AUSDA), Habitat for Humanity, and attends The Well. Hritz serves as a resident assistant in Clark Hall, where she is also the Clark small group co-leader. She also serves as the Historian for Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity.

Hritz explained her involvement on campus and the effect it has had on her.

"I've been very blessed with wonderful opportunities in my years at Ashland so far. My sophomore year, I was selected as an O-Teamer where I gained leadership skills and experiences guiding incoming freshmen. I then applied to be an RA (resident assistant) and was so privileged to be accepted. It has been one of the most enriching experiences I've had at the university and has certainly developed me as a person. I know that I'm learning skills and gaining experiences that will be benefit me in my future goals, no matter where I end up."

When asked if she considers Ashland University her second home, Hritz replied, "I think getting involved is the main reason I feel like Ashland is my second home. Most of the time, I don't even want to leave to go back to my real home because I feel like I'm missing so much on campus! I've met so many people through getting involved on campus, and my college experience will be that much more memorable because of it."
