ST. MARY'S CITY, MD (12/02/2011)(readMedia)-- Natalie Ulrick of Owings, Maryland, is the recipient of a Calvert County Scholarship at St. Mary's College of Maryland. The scholarship was established by the Calvert County Commissioners and private donors to benefit academically talented students from Calvert County with financial need.
Ulrick, Class of 2014, is majoring in sociology and psychology. She is involved with the campus Newman Society and with Leah's House, a community home for battered women and children. Ulrick intends to become a social worker.
St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
