Natalie Ulrick of Owings Awarded Calvert County Scholarship

ST. MARY'S CITY, MD (11/19/2013)(readMedia)--  Natalie Ulrick, an Owings, Md., native and senior at St. Mary's College of Maryland, was recently awarded the Calvert County Scholarship. Established by Calvert County Commissioners and private donors, this scholarship benefits academically talented students from Calvert County.

At St. Mary's College of Maryland, Ulrick is studying sociology and psychology. She plans to pursue a Masters of Arts in Teaching degree from St. Mary's College after earning her bachelor's degree this spring.

Ulrick is involved in the Leah's House program, the Best Buddies Club and the Cardinal Newman Society. She is a member of the Omnicron Delta Kappa honors society and is a resident assistant on campus. Ulrick enjoys reading, knitting and getting involved on campus..

St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
